Step-by-Step: How to Fill the SBI PO 2026 Online Form

Visit the Official SBI Careers Portal

Go to sbi.co.in → Careers → Current Openings → SBI PO 2026 (CRPD/PO/2026-27/09). Do not use third-party or unofficial sites for the application link.

Register / Create a New Account

Click 'New Registration'. Enter your name (exactly as in class 10 certificate), date of birth, email, and mobile number. A provisional registration number and password will be sent to your email and mobile. Save these.

Fill Personal & Educational Details

Log in with your registration number and password. Fill: contact details, category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD), educational qualification (graduation — mark degree as 'completed' or 'appearing'), and work experience if any.

Upload Photo, Signature, Thumb Impression & Handwritten Declaration

Upload all four files within the specified size and dimension limits (see below). Use the preview feature to verify each upload looks correct before proceeding.

Select Exam Centre Preference

Choose up to 4 examination centres in order of preference. The final centre is allotted by SBI and may differ from your choice based on availability.

Pay the Application Fee

UR/EWS/OBC candidates pay ₹750 online via debit card, credit card, or net banking. SC/ST/PwBD candidates: fee is NIL. Payment is non-refundable.

Final Submit & Print e-Receipt

After payment, click 'Final Submit'. Print/save the e-receipt with your registration number and payment details. Also download and save the filled application form PDF.

How to prepare the photograph

  • · Recent photograph (taken within 3 months), facing front, plain white or light background
  • · Face should be clearly visible — no hat, sunglasses, or heavy filter
  • · Scan or click a clear digital photo; crop to 4.5 × 3.5 cm at 200 DPI (approx. 354 × 275 px)
  • · Save as JPG and confirm file size is between 20 KB and 50 KB

How to prepare the signature

  • · Sign on plain white paper using black or blue ink
  • · Scan and crop to exactly 140 × 60 pixels
  • · The signature must match what you will sign on the admit card at the exam centre
  • · Do not use capital letters only — it should be your regular signature

Handwritten declaration — what to write

The application form displays the exact declaration text. Copy it by hand in English on plain white paper (A4 size, landscape or portrait). Do NOT type it. Scan at 200 DPI or more and save as JPG between 50–100 KB.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Uploading a photograph that is too dark, blurry, or has an unsuitable background — rejection at document verification

File size exceeding the limit — the portal will reject the upload

Entering name differently from your class 10 certificate — causes mismatches during document verification

Selecting wrong category (OBC creamy layer candidates are not eligible for OBC reservation)

Paying the fee and then not clicking 'Final Submit' — partial applications are not considered

Not saving the registration number and password — you will need these to download the admit card

Uploading the same file for photo and thumb impression (they are different uploads)

What is the last date to apply for SBI PO 2026?

8 July 2026. The application window opened on 18 June 2026 and closes on 8 July 2026. There is no offline application process — all applications must be submitted online at sbi.co.in.

Can I apply offline for SBI PO 2026?

No. SBI PO 2026 applications are accepted only through the online portal at sbi.co.in/careers. There is no provision for postal or offline applications.

Can I apply for multiple posts simultaneously with the same SBI PO application?

No. The SBI PO application is specific to the Probationary Officer post only. If SBI has other concurrent recruitments, separate applications are needed for each.

What happens if I make a mistake in the application form after submitting?

SBI typically opens a brief correction window after the main application window closes. However, critical details like name, date of birth, and category usually cannot be edited even in the correction window. Fill the form carefully before final submission.
