State Bank of India (SBI), through its Central Recruitment & Promotion Department at Corporate Centre, Mumbai, has released Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/05 inviting online applications for 100 posts of Trade Finance Officer at the Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II) level under the Specialist Cadre Officers stream. This is a regular appointment and the position is exclusively under the Specialist Cadre — there is no provision for conversion to the General Cadre. Indicative postings are at Hyderabad and Kolkata, though selected candidates may be deployed anywhere across India as per the Bank's operational needs. Vacancy Details
A total of 100 vacancies have been notified for the Trade Finance Officer (MMGS-II) post, split into 88 regular vacancies and 12 backlog vacancies. Horizontal reservations for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are included within the overall vacancy count of each parent category. EWS vacancies remain provisional, subject to Government of India directives and any applicable court decisions.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Mandatory: A Graduate degree in any discipline from a government-recognised university or institution, along with a valid Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF. Both qualifications must have been obtained on or before 30 April 2026.
- Preferred (not mandatory): Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS), Certificate in Trade Finance, or Certificate in International Banking — each dated on or before 30 April 2026.
Work Experience
- A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing is required. This experience must have been in a Supervisory or Official capacity within any Scheduled Commercial Bank. Teaching and training assignments will not be considered as valid experience.
Key Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, professional presentation skills, and proficiency in trade finance processing are expected of all applicants.

Pay Scale
Selected candidates will draw emoluments as per the MMGS-II pay scale of Rs. 64,820 – 2,340/1 – 67,160 – 2,680/10 – 93,960, along with applicable allowances and perquisites as per SBI's service rules.
Selection Process
The recruitment process for SBI Trade Finance Officer 2026 consists of two stages:
- Shortlisting: Applications will be screened on the basis of declared eligibility criteria. Not all eligible candidates are guaranteed a call for interview — SBI reserves the right to raise the qualifying bar based on the volume of applications received.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Interview schedules and call letters will be communicated only via the registered email ID or through the SBI careers portal. No physical call letters will be dispatched.
