Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed on the following pay scales, along with applicable allowances and benefits as per SBI's service regulations:

  • Assistant Manager (JMGS-I): Basic Pay ₹48,480, progressing up to ₹85,920 with defined annual increments
  • Deputy Manager (MMGS-II): Basic Pay ₹64,820, progressing up to ₹93,960 with defined annual increments

Eligibility Criteria

All eligibility conditions — educational qualification and work experience — must be fulfilled as on the cut-off date of 31 May 2026. Experience earned during internships, teaching assignments, or training programmes will not be counted toward the mandatory experience requirement. The experience certificate submitted must explicitly confirm that the candidate has hands-on experience in the relevant legal domain.

Educational Qualification

  • A graduate degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised Indian university is mandatory for both posts.
  • Candidates who have completed a 5-year integrated law programme from a recognised university may be given preference during the selection process.

Work Experience (Mandatory as on 31 May 2026)

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will go through a structured two-stage selection process:

  1. Online Written Test: Comprising both objective-type and descriptive-type questions, tentatively scheduled for August 2026. The test will assess candidates' knowledge of legal concepts, banking law, and general aptitude.
  2. Interview: Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for a personal interview. The final date and venue for interviews will be communicated by SBI separately.
