Eligibility Criteria

All eligibility conditions are assessed as on the cut-off date of 14th May 2026.

  • Retirement Condition: Applicants must be retired officers of SBI or its erstwhile Associate Banks who left service upon reaching the mandatory superannuation age of 60 years. Officers who opted for voluntary retirement, resigned, or were separated before superannuation are generally not eligible — except those who completed 58 years of age and 30 years of qualifying service simultaneously, as permitted under e-Circular CDO/P&HRD-PM/20/2022-23 dated 21.06.2022, provided they have since attained 60 years of age.
  • Eligible Grades: Officers who retired in the grades of MMGS-III, SMGS-IV, SMGS-V, or TEGS-VI are eligible to apply.
  • Age: The candidate must be at least 60 years of age (having retired on superannuation) and must not exceed 63 years as on 14th May 2026. No age relaxation is available for any reserved category.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior work exposure in credit operations, audit functions, or foreign exchange (Forex) transactions will be an advantage during the selection process.
  • Performance & Integrity: Candidates must have a clean and commendable service record. No disciplinary action amounting to Censure or a higher penalty should have been imposed during the five years immediately preceding retirement. There should be no pending cases involving CBI or any law enforcement agency.
  • Health: The applicant must be in sound health and free from any serious medical conditions that could impede professional duties.
  • Exclusivity: During the period of contractual engagement with SBI, the officer will not be permitted to take up employment or assignment with any other organisation.

Selection Process

The selection for the Concurrent Auditor role consists of two stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Applications will be screened based on eligibility parameters, service record, and relevant experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview stage.
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear before an interview panel, which carries a total weightage of 100 marks. Interview intimation will be sent via e-mail only; candidates are advised to regularly check the SBI Careers website for updates. No physical call letters will be dispatched.

How to Apply

Eligible retired officers must submit their applications exclusively through the online mode via the official SBI Careers portal. The application window is open from 14th May 2026 to 11th June 2026.
