Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Mandatory: MBBS degree from a university or institution recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate Diploma or a PG Degree such as MD/MS or equivalent.

Work Experience (reckoned as on 31.05.2026)

  • Candidates holding only an MBBS degree must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Practitioner, computed from the date of registration with the NMC or State Medical Council.
  • Candidates with a postgraduate degree must have at least 3 years of General Practitioner experience from the date of registration.
  • Important: Internship tenure and teaching/training assignments will not be considered toward the experience requirement.
