Vacancy Details

A total of 444 vacancies are available for the post of Clerk (Junior Assistant). As per the Maharashtra Government resolution dated 08/05/2026, 70% of seats are earmarked for candidates holding a valid domicile certificate of Sangli District, while the remaining 30% of seats are open to candidates from other districts of Maharashtra. In the event that sufficient applicants from other districts are not available, those reserved seats will be reallocated to Sangli domicile candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the appropriate authority is mandatory.
  • Candidates must additionally possess an MS-CIT certificate or an equivalent computer proficiency certificate recognised by the Government of Maharashtra (as referenced in Govt. letter no. 277/39 dated 4 February 2013). Accepted equivalents include D.O.A.C.C. and N.E.I.L.L.I.T. (New Delhi) certificates.
  • Exemption: Candidates holding a Graduate or Post-Graduate degree specifically in Computer Science or Information Technology are not required to furnish the MS-CIT certificate.

Domicile Requirement

Possession of a valid Sangli District domicile certificate is mandatory for the 70% reserved category seats. Candidates from other districts of Maharashtra are eligible to apply for the remaining 30% of vacancies.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age as on the reference date of 20 June 2026. This means eligible candidates must have been born on or after 21 June 1991. Age relaxation provisions, if applicable, will be as per the rules specified in the official notification.

Salary & Probation

Selected candidates will serve a probation period of 12 months, during which they will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of ₹22,000. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, candidates will be regularised and placed in the bank's standard Clerk grade pay scale as per SDCC Bank service regulations.

Selection Process

The selection for the Clerk (Junior Assistant) post will be conducted through the following two stages:

  1. Online Written Examination: An objective-type test conducted in English and Marathi, assessing candidates on relevant banking and aptitude parameters. The exam date will be communicated through the official website and admit cards issued 7–10 days prior.
  2. Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written examination will be called for a personal interview to be held at a venue in Sangli.
