Overview
The Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (MSC Bank), headquartered in Mumbai, is one of Maharashtra's most storied financial institutions, having served the cooperative banking sector since 1911. Recognised as a Scheduled Bank and the apex cooperative bank of the state, MSC Bank has announced a fresh recruitment drive for 2026–27 to onboard experienced banking professionals across two separate advertisements dated 02 June 2026. A total of 36 posts are being notified — 30 for Specialized Branch Managers (Officer Grade II) on a regular basis, and 6 for Managers on a contract basis. Postings span the bank's Head Office, Regional Offices, and its network of 57 branches spread across Maharashtra. Only candidates with a valid Maharashtra domicile certificate are eligible to apply. Note: For contract Managers, statutory benefits such as PF, Gratuity, and Pension are not applicable. The bank's management retains discretion to determine actual pay based on qualifications and experience. There is no entitlement to regular absorption at the conclusion of the contract period.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Specialized Branch Manager (Advt. 01): Graduate or equivalent from any recognised university in any discipline, securing a minimum of Second Class. Candidates must have cleared the JAIIB examination.
- Manager – Contract (Advt. 02): Graduate or equivalent from any recognised university in any discipline, securing a minimum of Second Class. Candidates must have cleared the CAIIB examination.
Work Experience
- Specialized Branch Manager: Minimum 5 years of cumulative banking experience specifically as a Branch Manager at Officer level in a Commercial Bank, District Central Co-operative Bank, or Urban Co-operative Bank.
- Manager – Contract: Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience at Senior or Middle Management level within a Commercial Bank, District Central Co-operative Bank, or Urban Co-operative Bank. Retired professionals or candidates who have resigned but possess the requisite experience are also encouraged to apply.
Age Limit
Candidates must be 45 years of age or older as on the eligibility cut-off date of 01 May 2026. Age relaxation is subject to the bank's applicable rules.
Language Proficiency
- Specialized Branch Manager: Working knowledge (spoken and written) of Marathi, Hindi, and English is essential.
- Manager – Contract: Proficiency in Marathi, English, and Hindi is required.
Domicile
A valid Maharashtra State Domicile Certificate is mandatory for all applicants. Applications without this document will not be considered.
Selection Process
MSC Bank will follow a two-stage selection methodology:
- Application Shortlisting: Received applications will be screened against the prescribed eligibility criteria. Only candidates who meet all conditions — qualification, experience, age, JAIIB/CAIIB, and domicile — will be shortlisted.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. The date, time, and venue of the interview will be communicated to eligible applicants individually.
