Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (MSC Bank), headquartered in Mumbai, has officially announced its 2026-27 recruitment drive through Advertisement No. 03/MSC Bank/2026-27. A total of 139 trainee vacancies are on offer across four distinct roles — Trainee Junior Officer, Trainee Associate, Trainee Typist, and Trainee Driver. This recruitment is open exclusively to domiciled residents of Maharashtra State, and all applications must be submitted through the online portal. The written examination will be conducted by IBPS. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 12-month structured training programme, followed by a 6-month probationary period before permanent absorption into the bank's regular cadre.

Note: A 5% reservation is available for the Trainee Associate, Trainee Typist, and Trainee Driver categories for wrestlers who have represented Maharashtra at National or International competitions and been awarded Gold medals or recognised as Maharashtra Kesri/Hind Kesri. Eligibility Criteria

All applicants, regardless of category, must have cleared the Matriculation (SSC) examination with Marathi as one of the subjects and must hold a valid Maharashtra State domicile certificate. Age is calculated as on 01 June 2026.

  • Trainee Junior Officer (49 Posts): Graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks is required. Candidates holding a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Law, or certifications such as JAIIB/CAIIB/MSCIT, or those with prior experience in Treasury/International Banking will be given preference. A minimum of 2 years' banking experience — preferably in an Officer cadre at an Urban Co-operative or District Central Co-operative (DCC) Bank — is mandatory. Age: 23 to 35 years (born on or after 01 June 1991).
  • Trainee Associate (81 Posts): Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks is required. Proficiency in computer applications is compulsory. Preference will be given to candidates holding a Government Commercial Certificate in Marathi and English typing, or those with Co-operative Internship experience at State Co-operative or DCC Banks. Experience is not mandatory. Age: 21 to 32 years (born on or after 01 June 1994).
  • Trainee Typist (04 Posts): A graduate degree in any stream is required, with Marathi having been studied at the Matriculation level. Candidates must hold the Government Commercial Certificate Examination qualification and must be capable of typing at a minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. in Marathi and 40 w.p.m. in English. Working knowledge of Word Processing and Spreadsheet applications is essential. Experience as a DTP Operator or in Marathi/English stenography is preferred but not mandatory. Age: 21 to 28 years (born on or after 01 June 1998).
  • Trainee Driver (05 Posts): Candidates must have passed the SSC (Matriculation) examination with Marathi as a subject and must hold a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence. Prior experience is not required. Age: 18 to 30 years (born on or after 01 June 1996). Children of MSC Bank employees are eligible for a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit.

Payment must be made exclusively through online modes including Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets. All fees are non-refundable. Any applicable bank transaction charges will be borne by the applicant.

All selected candidates will serve a 12-month training period during which the above stipends apply. Upon successful completion of training, candidates are placed in the respective regular grade. A subsequent probationary period of 6 months applies before permanent confirmation in service.

Selection Process

The selection methodology is multi-stage and varies by post. For all categories, an Online Written Examination conducted by IBPS forms the first and primary stage. Post the written test, additional stages specific to each role are conducted. Candidates should refer to the official notification for detailed examination pattern, syllabus, and qualifying criteria. Final merit is determined based on performance across all stages of the selection process.
