Vacancy Details

The 5 Management Trainee positions are distributed across two disciplines with category-wise breakup as follows. Reservation norms are governed by prevailing Government of India guidelines. One seat is horizontally reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD – Hearing Impairment), with a minimum disability threshold of 40%.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 21 and 28 years of age as on 30 April 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates in accordance with Government of India guidelines.

Educational Qualification

All qualifications must be obtained through full-time, regular programmes from institutions recognised by the Government of India, AICTE, or UGC. Degrees obtained via correspondence, distance learning, open universities, or part-time modes are not eligible.

  • MT – Human Resource Management (3 Posts): A full-time graduation degree (minimum 3 years) with at least 60% aggregate marks, AND a full-time Post Graduate degree/diploma (MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/MMS) of at least 2 years with specialization in Human Resource Management or Personnel Management, also with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
  • MT – Administration (2 Posts):
    • Option 1: Full-time graduation (minimum 60%) AND full-time MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/MMS with specialization in Hotel & Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, or an equivalent field (minimum 60%).
    • Option 2: Full-time B.Tech in Civil Engineering (minimum 60%) AND full-time MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/MMS in any discipline (minimum 60%).

Candidates who have appeared in their final qualifying examinations but are yet to receive results may sit for the Written Examination. However, appointment will be subject to production of qualifying documents by 1 June 2026 or the joining date indicated by the Bank, whichever is later. Candidates from CGPA-granting institutions must provide a conversion certificate from the Head of Institution or Controller of Examinations.

Compensation & Training

  • Monthly Stipend (Training Period): ₹65,000 per month
  • Training Duration: 1 year (On-the-Job Training)
  • Service Bond: Candidates must serve as MT for 1 year and commit to a minimum of 5 years as a regular employee after absorption
  • Post-Absorption Designation: Deputy Manager, Grade JM-I
  • Pay Band after Absorption: ₹48,480 – ₹85,920 as per IBA 12th Bipartite Settlement

Selection Process

The selection methodology for Exim Bank Management Trainee 2026 comprises two stages:

  1. Written Examination (Subjective): A written test tentatively scheduled for July 2026. The exam will be conducted at designated centres including Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Guwahati.
  2. Personal Interview: Candidates who qualify in the Written Examination will be called for a Personal Interview, to be held at Mumbai and/or New Delhi.

Final selection will be based on combined performance across both stages. Shortlisting criteria and cut-off marks will be at the discretion of Exim Bank.
