Overview

Bank of Baroda (BOB), one of India's leading public sector banks headquartered in Mumbai, has announced a large-scale Apprentice engagement drive for the year 2026. Under Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/APPRENTICE/ADVT/2026/01, the bank is offering 5,000 training seats across all 35 States and Union Territories of India. The engagement is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 and is being conducted in association with the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC). This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates looking to gain structured, hands-on banking experience through a 12-month On-the-Job Training programme at Bank of Baroda branches.

Applications are accepted online only through the NATS and/or NAPS government apprenticeship portals, along with the BFSI SSC payment gateway. Candidates must register on these portals before submitting their application.

Vacancy Details

A total of 5,000 apprentice training seats have been distributed State/UT-wise, with reservations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and UR categories. Horizontal reservation is also available for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) across four disability categories: Visually Impaired (VI), Hearing Impaired (HI), Orthopedically Challenged (OC), and Intellectual Disability (ID) including Multiple Disabilities. Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government. For NATS-registered applicants, the graduation completion date must not be more than 4 years prior to the cut-off date of 01 May 2026.
  • Prior Apprenticeship: Candidates who have previously completed or are currently undergoing an apprenticeship with Bank of Baroda or any other establishment are not eligible.
  • Work/Training Experience: Those who have accumulated 1 year or more of training or work experience after completing their degree are not eligible to apply.
  • Portal Registration: Candidates must be registered on the NAPS (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and/or NATS (nats.education.gov.in) portals before submitting their application.
  • State Preference: Each candidate may apply for apprenticeship in only one State/UT and must select up to 3 preferred training centres within that State/UT.

Selection Process

The selection of apprentices will be carried out through a structured three-stage process:

  1. Online Examination: A computer-based test to assess the candidate's aptitude and general banking awareness. The exam date will be notified separately on the Bank's official website and the BFSI SSC portal.
  2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original documents to verify their eligibility, including educational certificates, category certificates, and portal registration details.
  3. Local Language Proficiency Test: Candidates must demonstrate basic proficiency in the local/regional language of the State/UT for which they have applied, as part of the final selection stage.

  2. Ensure you are registered on the NATS (nats.education.gov.in) and/or NAPS (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) portals before proceeding.
  3. Download and carefully read the official notification PDF (Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/APPRENTICE/ADVT/2026/01) to understand all terms and conditions.
  4. Complete the online application form, selecting your preferred State/UT and up to 3 training centre preferences within it.
  5. Pay the applicable application fee through the BFSI SSC payment link as specified in the notification.
  6. Submit the application before 08 June 2026 and retain a copy of the confirmation for future reference.

Stipend: Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000 during the 12-month On-the-Job Training period. No other allowances or benefits are admissible during the training tenure.
